DenmarkxReader: Its Complicated CH 12

It was Thursday and you were sitting quietly at your desk with Lukas sitting beside you.  A full week had pass and you felt as if you and Lukas were friends for years.  You weren’t quite sure why he was friends with Matthias but you still like complaining about him together.

“Hey, _______ there’s a pizza in the break room if you guys want some.” one of your coworkers informed you while walking by.  ‘That sounds good.’ you thought to yourself wondering if Lukas was hungry also.

“Want to grab a bite?” Lukas asked you before you could as him the same thing.  With a smile on your face you simple nodded before logging off your computer.  

Walking down the hallway you quickly made your way to the break room before all the pizza would be gone.  In the break room you found Bella sitting alone.  A large smile appeared on her face when she was you make your way into the room.

“I had a feeling you would come in here.” she giggled.  A sigh left you lips knowing that she was thinking back to earlier in the week when you nearly ate a whole cake by yourself.  Of course you couldn’t help yourself since you were starving because you didn’t eat earlier that day.

“Hahaha very funny Bella.” you told your friend with a smirk across your face.

“I’m sorry ______.” the golden blond said as she watched your open the box to the cheesy pizza of perfection before you.  Your mouth started to water at the sight before you.  Just the thought of the food made you excited especially since you missed lunch earlier.

After grabbing a slice of pizza you were enjoying a nice conversation with Bella and Lukas.  

“So did you hear what Alfred been planning?” Bella asked while you picked up another large slice of pizza.

With a mouth full of food you simply shook your head no.  

“Well, I heard from Gilbert that Alfred is planning a new commercial.  And guess who gets to star this time?” Bella asked with excitement in her eyes.

“If I had to guess I would say you.” you mumbled after finishing the slice of pizza.

“And you and Lukas!” Bella explained nearly jumping up in excitement.  A slight smile appeared on your face.  Lukas however had a blank expression on his face.

“So where’s it be filming it this time?” you questioned while glancing into the pizza box which was now empty.

“Apparently at the club.  That way they can promote the wine and the club.” Bella explained to you.  The idea seemed to be clever in your opinion.  

“Well, it does make sense.” you said to your friend as the sound of someone stopped in the doorway.  The three of you looked up to see Alfred on the phone.  Without a word he pointed at all three of you and signaled for you all to follow him.  

Quietly walking behind Alfred you could hear whoever he was on the phone with complaining.  Glancing at Bella you saw her shrug her shoulder.  Lukas however didn’t really seem interested.

“Okay Clara… fine I’ll meet you tomorrow.  Yeah, I said I’ll do it.” Alfred said as he stopped in front of one of the meeting rooms.  A frown quickly formed across your face, while Bella rolled her green eyes.

“Sorry about that.  Anyways I want to have a meeting with you guys about this weekend.” Alfred explained while hanging up his phone, sliding it into his pocket.

Walking into the meeting room you saw Mr. Ludwig already sitting in the room.  His bright blue eyes looked up from some papers he was holding.

“Okay, so I just wanted to tell you guys that you’ll all be playing parts in our new commercial that going to be filmed Saturday.” Alfred said looking at the three of you.

“But my mom is going to visiting this weekend.” you said looking at Alfred who smiled.  He enjoyed your mother’s visits.

“You can bring her with you.  Cause you’ll be our lead again.” Alfred said with a smile.

“Again?” you said surprised.  You knew he already wanted you to star in his commercial but this time you thought Bella would be the lead.

“Yes, actually we were just talking about making you our spokesperson.  I was looking over reviews for the commercial and it seems that everyone loves you.  A lot of people even women said how you looked beautiful.  People also found you as very honest and trustworthy which is great for sells.” Mr. Ludwig explaining the papers he was looking at moments ago.

“Oh well I guess I’ll do it.  But do you really think it’s a good idea for my mom to come?” you said looking at Alfred.  Both of you knew how much your mother enjoyed clubs.

“Yeah, we’ll give her a free pass.” Alfred said causing you to cringe.  Just the thought of your mother with a free pass worried you.

“All right then.” you mumbled.

“Great, well that all we wanted to talk about.  You can get back to work.” Alfred said dismissing the three of you.

Walking into the hallway you let out a sigh.  

“It’s nice that your mom’s coming for a visit.  I wait to meet her.” Bella said with a smile.

“Yeah, hopefully she’ll behave herself.” you said looking at friends while walking back to your desk.

For the rest of the day you did your work.  By the end of the day you were tired and starving.  You hurried to your home wanting to find something to eat.  After fixing a large plate stacked with leftovers you climbed into your bed and fell asleep.

------------Friday Morning-----------

You were deep in sleep when you heard the sound of your mother yelling your name.  Your ____ eyes slightly opened still extremely tired.  Seeing your mother’s cheerful face caused you to sigh.  The outgoing woman wasn’t supposed to arrive to your house until after you got off.

“Wake up Kitten.” your mother called you by your childhood nickname.

“Noooo.” you groaned pulling the blue bed covers over your head.  Of course you mother just pulled the covers off the bed.  

“Oh my gosh, you look so rough.” your mother said when you finally got up.  A sigh left your lips while looking at your mother aggravated.  

“What are you doing here Diva?” you questioned.

“I came to see you of course.” your mother said with a large smile on her face.  Climbing out of bed you walked over to your closet.  You started looking for an outfit to wear only to have your mother pull out a dress for you.

“Wear this one.” she suggested.  Looking at the dress you frowned.  You knew that you couldn’t fit that dress since you tried it on yesterday.

“I wore that one the other day.” you lied while picking a dress you knew would fit.  Not wanting to hear you mother brag about how she would probably look better in the dress then you.

After getting dress you had a stack of pancakes while your mother watched.

“What?” you asked downing a glass of juice.

“It’s nothing…  I never seen you eat so much this early in the morning.” your mother muttered with a smile.

“I always eat a big breakfast.” you lied again.  ‘Its not like she would’ve known anyways.’ you thought to yourself remembering how your mother would often be just falling asleep when you were a little girl getting ready for school.

“So what are you doing today?” your mother asked while sitting next to you.

“Work.” you simply answered her.  A large smile formed across your mother’s face.  It was clear to you that she had an idea on her mind.

“I’ll drop you.” she offered while picking up her keys.  Without giving you much of a choice she walked out of the house and got into her car.  A sigh left your lips while you locked the front door.

-------------Car Ride-------------

The ride to work was filled with talking mostly on your mother’s part.  She told you how she and the man she was dating broke up.  But he wasn’t the same man you meet over the holidays a few months ago.  Apparently your mother dated another three guys since him but you weren’t surprised.

‘Oh thank goodness!’ you thought as your mother parked in parking garage.  Without saying a word you hurried out the car not wanting to about anymore of your mother’s love life.

Walking into the office you found Bella talking to Alfred.  The two blonds looked at you when a loud groan left your lips.

“What’s wrong?” Bella asked looking at you worried.

“My mom decided to show up this morning instead of this afternoon like we agreed.” you told your friends.

“Diva is here!” Alfred said happily.  He enjoyed your carefree mother’s company.

“Hellz yeah I am!” you heard your mother call out from behind you.  ‘Oh crap!’ you thought to yourself while looking over your shoulder.

“Hey there Diva!” Alfred said as your mother pulled him into a hug.  You knew she thought Alfred was a good looking man.

“Hiya, cutie.” your mother said flirtingly while your coworkers walked by.  ‘This can’t get any worst.’ you said to yourself trying to comfort yourself.

“Hey, ________ just a heads up I heard Matthias is coming back tomorrow.” Bella said causing you to through your hands up into the air.

“Isn’t he the tool who bullied Kitten?” your mother asked while still hugging on Alfred.  Without saying a word Alfred simply nodded.  Suddenly you realized that there would be a chance that your mother and Matthias might bum into each other at the club.

“Oh just screw my life real hard!” you yelled before walking off to your desk as your mother, Alfred and Bella just watched.
